Bear Creek Park was established in 1995.  This park is a community park set in a wooded environment with an 8’ wide 1-mile concrete sidewalk/trail meandering to all amenities.  Along the trail visitors will encounter numerous interpretive signs, a creek side overlook, a disc golf course, athletic fields, play areas, exercise stations, benches and picnic areas.  The park is named after the creek that flows through it.  Click here for directions.

Big Bear Creek Nature Preserve was established in 1979.  This park contains an 8’wide .8 mile concrete trail that runs along Big Bear Creek.  On the trail visitors, will find interpretive stations, rest areas, native flora and fauna.  The park was named after the creek and for its natural and geographic amenities and to communicate the intent of the area.  Click here for directions.

Dove Park was established in 1970.  This park is a community park with a swimming pool located in the park.  Basketball, tennis, in-line hockey and sand volleyball courts are located to the north of the pool.  Casey’s Clubhouse is situated in the southeast corner of the park.  This is a handicapped accessible play structure.  Other amenities include a 8’ wide x .5 mile concrete walking trail, two gazebos, and restrooms.  Click here for directions.

Heritage Park was established in 1938.  This park was the first park in Grapevine’s park system.  Originally, 2.80 acres were deeded to the city and school district in 1938 as back payment on taxes.  In 1964, the school district deeded this acreage entirely to the city.  The site was once a basket-making factory for the cantaloupe farming in the area.  Heritage Park is a community park with two play structures located in the South end of the park, tennis and basketball courts are located in the North end of the park and a large grass open area separates the two.  Picnic tables and benches are located throughout the park.  Click here for directions.

Parr Park was purchased in 1979.  This park is a regional park with two play structures, picnic tables, and benches.  The play area and the park are handicap accessible.  Located next to the play area is the restroom/storage building, to the north of the play area is the Rotary pavilion, further north are the softball fields.  On the eastside of the playground are multipurpose athletic fields.  A Trail system circles the perimeter of the park and links to the Big Bear Creek Trail system.  Click here for directions.
